Parole Board To Discuss on Pistorious Issue

The parole board in Johannesburg, South Africa is expected to make a decision on whether to give Oscar Pistorius an early release from prison today.

The board met in Durban in September, but postponed the hearing for two weeks saying it did not get a chance to complete Pistorius's case due to having several matters to review.

He was initially expected to be released in August to serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest, but Justice Minister, Michael Masutha announced Pistorius would not be released.

The Paralympian was jailed last year after he was found guilty of culpable homicide for gunning down his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
