Globacom ambassadors featuring in the Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce concert have said the concert has provided them an opportunity to link-up with their fans across the country.
Speaking shortly after their performances at the Nsukka, Enugu State edition of the show, the artistes extolled Globacom for taking them across the country, saying that they wouldnot have known how much they were loved if not for the show.
One of the artistes and Glo ambassador, Di’Ja, said: “if Globacom had not brought me to perform here in Nsukka, how would I have known that these guys here can feel me and so much appreciate me like this”.
“I was moved to tears seeing those guys singing along with me every line of all my tracks and their love for my song is so strong and I need to appreciate Globacom for the opportunity to be here to experience, first hand, the love of my fans here in Nsukka,” she enthused.
Similarly, Marvin Records musician, Reekado Banks, pointed out that, “coming to Nsukka on the platform of Globacom and having to see my fans asking for more has really redefined my perception of the upland folks. If the truth must be told, raw entertainment resides in the up country and kudos to my Nsukka fans and more Kudos to Globacom for cementing this bond between me and my fans here”.
Another Glo ambassador, Flavour, who wowed the audience at the concert, noted that but for Globacom, he would have found it very difficult to believe that “I have this kind of huge fan base here in Nsukka”.
“Granted, Nsukka is a university community, but the question we should ask is how often do the people here get to see this type of show? We should also ask how many artistes will come here on their own to perform. This bonding tonight between me and my fans here is only made possible by Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce and I won’t forget this in a hurry”, he added.
For Dapo Oyebanjo, widely known as D’Banj, “the most beautiful thing about this Glo slide ‘n’ Bounce is that it has given all the artistes on this tour the opportunity to touch base with their fans in the local areas. From Ikorodu, to Egbeda, Ijebu Ode, Anyigba and here in Nsukka, I can on behalf of all others say that Globacom has brought us closer to our fans who live outside the cities. Look at those “kokolets” on the stage showing love to the Kokomaster. How could I have known that I have some kokolets in the Koko Mansion in Nsukka? This is what Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce has done”.
