The teenage son of country music star Craig Morgan is missing after a boating accident in Tennessee.
Jerry Greer, 19, was tubing with another teen on the Tennessee River on Sunday when he fell into the water and never resurfaced, Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis told The Tennessean.
Multiple search crews looked for Davis throughout the night to no avail, prompting them to enlist the help of several more rescue organizations early Monday morning.
Police are searching the area with boats and helicopters, TMZ reports.
The accident occurred near Kentucky Lake. Authorities received a distress call at around 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Witnesses reportedly said Greer was wearing a life jacket, and no signs of drinking have been determined yet. A source told TMZ that it was a "freak accident."
Morgan and his wife Karen released a short statement amid the search.
"The family is grateful for everyone's support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time," the statement read, via Nashville's WTVF.
Greer, who recently graduated from Dickson County High School, is one of Morgan's four children. He was reportedly very close with his father and has appeared on his dad's show on the Outdoor Channel, "Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors."
Morgan, 51, is an Army veteran who is best known for hits such as "That's What I Love About Sunday," "Tough" and "Almost Home."
