Ogun State Said To Have Denied Old School System

The Ogun State Government has denied reverting to the old school shift system to decongest some of its schools across the state, as reported in some national dailies.


Rather the government claimed that a number of measures and opportunities are being considered to ensure effective teaching and learning in schools across the state.

The state’s Commissioner of Education, Mrs Modupe Mjota, made the clarification during an inspection of schools on the first day of the resumption for another academic term, after the long Christmas and New Year holidays.

As academic activities have begun in earnest, the Commissioner gave the assurance that measures have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free academic experience.

The inspection team also carried out the presentation a wheelchair to a 20-year-old physically challenged, Oluwaseun Adebiyi, a student of JSS 1 in Ikija Grammar School in Abeokuta, the state capital.
