Saraki's Trial Case, Adjourned To October 21st


      Nigeria's Code of Conduct tribunal has adjourned hearing on Saraki’s case till October 21, 2015. The Senate president was granted bail on self recognition.


The embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki finally appeared before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Tuesday for the commencement of his trial over alleged false declaration of of asset after days of playing hide-and-seek.

Saraki had announced on Monday, September 21, 2015, that he would be present at the tribunal today, 22, after two previous absences.

The Tribunal has twice ordered the Senate President’s arrest after he failed to attend his initial trial on Friday, 18, and the second on Monday.

Saraki has been accused of 13 charges of corruption by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

He however pleaded not guilty to all charges read to him by the prosecuting counsel.
