139 Captives Of Boko Haram Rescued By Nigeria Anti-terrorist Troops


      The Nigerian Army troops involved in the ongoing slaughters of Boko Haram have rescued another 139 captives of the insurgents in Borno State.


According to a statement by the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, the troops also destroyed most of the camps of the insurgents in the area.

He said the troops rescued 62 captives of the sect who were fleeing from the insurgents at Bitti and Pulka.

Usman added that the Special Forces also rescued another set of captives at Bama comprising 22 women 15 men and 40 children.

The Acting Army Spokesman said the troops were still combing and destroying all known camps of the terrorists at Bama, Banki and Pulka.

He said the rescued people who were looking emaciated and frail, and were being attended to by the Army pending the arrival of National Emergency Management Agency in the area.
