Rivers state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the allegation of witch hunting being leveled against the Department of State Services By the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the probe of the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Gesila Khan.
The party said that Gesila actually has a case to answer. In a statement signed by the APC chairman in Rivers state, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, said PDP move to stop the DSS from carrying out its duties is rather unfortunate.
Ikanya explained that PDP stance on the arrest of the state REC shown that the party and REC were in close partnership.
